Group Coaching

Artist Mentor provides group coaching sessions that are inclusive, safe spaces for positive, transformative, learning experiences.

Group coaching sessions can be tailored for any number of attendees and conducted in person or via  Zoom, which has proven to be cost effective and the best medium in the current climate.

We create bespoke, dynamic content for your group needs, on the subject matter of your choice to inspire creativity, innovation, leadership, personal and team growth and strategic business development.

Examples of group session subjects include Pricing and Selling Your Work; Online Marketing; Artist’s Statements and Applications; Resilience and Negotiation.

Recent clients include Space Studios, Agile Structures, G39, Spike Island, Goldsmiths College, Kingston School of Art, Manchester School of Art, Plymouth School of Art, Birmingham School of Art.

“Huge thanks for the session this morning, you have a lovely approachable ‘Zoom manner’ that really helped people feel at ease and willing to contribute. I’m an art writer but my work sometimes leaks into art practice so it was really useful to get your take on what you look out for in an artist statement, what makes you excited and how you advise going about communicating interests and enthusiasm through the statements”.

We believe that ‘what got you here won’t get you there,’ so group coaching sessions are designed to share contemporary industry knowledge, encouraging participation, and collaboration with peers.

For art groups, we provide a few golden nuggets, some insider intelligence and tried and tested methods to help shift perspectives and create new options. We love revealing the smoke and mirrors at play in the art world, in the hope that it inspires you to forge your own path.

For business groups, we provide a dynamic, creative approach to topics relevant to your industry, business and team needs.

‘’Ceri’s masterclass was ‘on the nose.’ She is extremely engaging and brought a clearly evident wealth of experience and knowledge to the session in a totally accessible manner. The session taught me some new things whilst giving me a confidence boost, as she affirmed my so far self-taught understanding of pricing, the current art market and sales. Worth every penny paid and more”.

Ceri Hand, Founding Director of Artist Mentor, leads on the development and delivery of group coaching sessions, with additional support from an amazing network of arts professionals and industry experts.

“I can’t thank you enough for such a brilliant course. I wasn’t sure how it might be pertinent to me just now but as always Ceri covered all bases and it became clear the material is pertinent to all. I have been aware for a long that I needed to learn how to present myself more professionally. And this course was full of great suggestions about that and so many things besides negotiation. I have had some success at being a bit more assertive in recent years but this course presented a fantastic set of confidence building professional skills for life – as well as a negotiation”.
